Brantley attended the University of Idaho and received his bachelor’s in music composition as well as music education: instrumental emphasis. He has taught lessons at the Moscow Music Academy for 3 years, as well as privately.

Aside from private lessons, Brantley has been employed as a U of I faculty member accompanying various dance classes and has spent two summers playing professionally for the Bigfork Summer Playhouse in Montana. Bacon believes that having a solid grasp of music theory and a well-developed ear is vital to a musician’s development, as well as a good work ethic and an ability to appreciate delayed gratification.
