Hello
Dawn Reagan is excited and blessed to be instructing art at Samson Music & Art Studio! She has enjoyed teaching cartooning, acrylic painting, and a spectrum of kids crafting through the years. Dawn focuses on the fundamental elements of art, such as line, texture, color, and value, while emphasizing fun and encouraging perseverance and practice.

Dawn's passion for truth permeates her artistic work and teaching style. She believes that every piece of art tells a story, and that a true story has the ability to resonate, preserve, warn, or inspire. One of her favorite sermons is from C.H. Spurgeon, and it begins in the ageless realm of art.
“Works of art require some education in the beholder, before they can be thoroughly appreciated. We do not expect that the uninstructed should at once perceive the varied excellencies of a painting from some master hand; we do not imagine that the superlative glories of the harmonies of the prince of song will enrapture the ears of clownish listeners. There must be something in the man himself, before he can understand the wonders either of nature or of art.”
C.H. Spurgeon

Dawn's earliest art endeavor took place when she was just a one-year-old waddler. All of the sudden, the eery silence of a far too quiet baby, tapped Dawn's mother on the shoulder. She quickly scanned the kitchen, then nervously panned the seemingly abandoned living room. Pivoting to scour outside, she came to a dead stop upon hearing faint scratching on the living room wall behind the couch. She cautiously approached the couch when her jaw dropped just enough to eke out, “R-r-r-roger?” Detecting the astonishment in her voice, he barreled into the room only to stop on a dime of disbelief. Little “Bay Dawn” had nearly finished drawing a clock on the wall, complete with hands, numbers, and a happy little face. They were so stunned at their diapered deviant, that she dodged the discipline.
